May Has Come and Gone!

Okay all, I apologize for the large amount of time that has passed since I last posted. It's been busy, Chad and I were on vacation, and then the website was giving me grief! Anyways, I'm back and it's a marathon blog post! These pics start from this last week and go backwards to the beginning of the month. So here goes!

Swimming has become the activity of choice at our house. It's been 95 out every day and there's not much else to do that doesn't involve sweating. Tyler has become quite the little swimmer and loves his swim lessons with his buddies. He's had 8 lessons in our pool and is swimming almost the length of the pool. It's so fun to see him do something so big boy. Ryan is right along with Tyler, trying to swim too. We bought him this little swim trainer and I'm sure by the end of the summer he will not need it anymore.

Tyler's friend Ella turned 4 last week and we went to a princess and knight party. The kids had a blast. Ella, Tyler , and Dylan.

My parents were enjoying this! Ryan broke his right arm when he was at the park with my dad one night. He stepped off the bottom of the slide and tried to catch himself , obviously this did not work out so well for him! He's fine and actually gets the cast off on Wednesday. Chad and I were surprised he hadn't done it earlier. He's such a little dare-devil!



Our new addition to the back yard, the pergola. We love it, it's like a whole other room.

Kids~ Gotta love'em!

Hi Y'all! It's been busy, busy, busy at the Brautigam's, as usual! We finally had a weekend home with both parents for the majority of it~minus my hair appointment, running, and Chad's golf. Mom and Dad have to have some fun, right? Last weekend I was in Austin, Monday we went to see Jimmy Buffet, and Thursday I went out with some oother girlfriends. Anyways, it's been hot in Texas and today I heard the boys laughing hysterically outside. I peek my head out the back door and this is what I saw! Ryan loved it despite his cower!

After getting Ryan, Tyler sprayed himself! What a cutie!

Last weekend, I went to Austin with 6 of my girlfriends for a Mom's getaway! It was awesome! We drank a little, lounged a little, pampered a little, and ate a lot! It was definately great to catch up with the girls and not talk kids! Of course we did, who are we kidding!

The Houston Zoo

Friday we went to the zoo with Lynnette and her kids, as well as my friend Jennifer and one of her sons. They all had a blast! We had to go before it gets too hot and humid! Maybe we'll go back in October or November. The boys had so much fun seeing all the animals. Tyler was on a mission to see the "Lion of the Kings!" and elephants, zebras(they live in Africa you know!), and giraffes! Ryan took it all in as he is not fond of other living creatures other than the human type!

Wow~it's already the middle of April?

It's been crazy as usual at our house. The time just slips by so quickly. We've been busy with soccer, playing at the park and friends, and even getting some swimming in. The boys are quickly becoming best little buds. They call each other buddy. It's so cute. Here are a bunch of pictures of the last couple of weeks.

This is Tyler passed out after a playdate. We had to wake him to go to soccer, it wasn't pretty!
Saturday night we cooked out with some neighbors in the driveway. The kids had a blast! Chad and I even went out by ourselves on Friday night and left the kids with a sitter. Needless to say, after 2 late nights they were quite the treat getting ready for bed after the cookout.
This is racer "Bill" as Tyler calls himself! Go Bill! He wears this get up and drives his "Escalade" around the cul-de-sac! Priceless!
This is a flower from my back yard. It's an Indian something or nother. Can't remember!
It was Bluebonnet time a couple weeks ago. They have pretty much come and gone, but in Texas tradition we went out and got some pictures.

It has been down right hot the last couple of weeks. Our pool is not warm enough yet, but we pulled out the sprinkler and they had a blast! I did too, I got to read!

Do these two look alike or what? Tyler is slowly becoming his father! It's scarey! We're not sure who Ryan is~ someone in someone's family was apparently "nuts!" He's taking after them!
